Markdown is the format that keeps a Claude conversation useful: readable as plain text, structured with headings, code blocks intact. Paste the link and download the .md file for free.

Only publicly shared chats can be loaded by link. We do not store chat content. If Claude blocks the direct request, the public page is read through Jina Reader. Independent tool, not affiliated with Anthropic.

Claude chats in Obsidian

Put the .md file into your vault. Each message starts with a heading, so Obsidian's outline shows the conversation at a glance and you can link to individual answers.

Claude chats in Notion

In Notion, use Import → Markdown, or paste the copied Markdown into a page. Headings, lists and code blocks are converted to Notion blocks.

Claude chats on GitHub

Save the file in your repository, for example under docs/. Pull requests, wikis and READMEs render it properly, which makes AI-assisted decisions traceable for your team.

Is the Markdown export free?

Yes, Markdown, text and HTML are free and need no account.

Are code blocks kept?

Yes. Code that Claude formatted as a code block stays a fenced code block in the file.

Can I convert all my Claude chats to Markdown?

Yes, with Pro. Request the data export in Claude, upload the ZIP in the Full data export tab and download every chat as a separate .md file.
