Open your Claude data export and turn it into readable files

Claude's official export arrives as a ZIP with one large conversations.json. Upload it here and see every chat with title, date and length. With Pro you get all of them as separate Markdown, HTML or JSON files. Nothing leaves your browser.

    Only publicly shared chats can be loaded by link. We do not store chat content. If Claude blocks the direct request, the public page is read through Jina Reader. Independent tool, not affiliated with Anthropic.

    How to export all Claude data

    1Request the exportIn Claude go to Settings → Privacy → Export data. Claude sends a download link by email.
    2Upload the ZIPDownload the ZIP and drop it into the Full data export tab above.
    3Download your chatsSee the list of all chats and download them as files (Pro).

    What is inside the Claude export

    The ZIP contains conversations.json with all chats and their messages, plus files about your account and projects. The JSON is complete but not made for reading. This tool turns it into one file per chat, named with date and title.

    Privacy

    Your export contains everything you ever wrote to Claude. That is why it is never uploaded here: the file is opened and converted in your browser, on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded.

    FAQ

    How long does the Claude data export take?

    Usually minutes, sometimes longer for large accounts. The download link in the email expires after a while, so download the ZIP soon.

    My ZIP does not open in the tool. What now?

    Some browsers cannot unpack every ZIP. Unzip it on your computer and upload only conversations.json.

    Can I search my old Claude chats?

    Yes. After uploading you see all chats with title, date and number of messages, sorted by the most recent.
